Watch: "Doctor Strange" Cast Plays "Operation" and It's Priceless

Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't just play a surgeon in Doctor Strange—the Oscar-nominated actor may have what it takes to actually be in an operating room.

Just check him out in the video above playing Operation (yup, the kids game!) when we caught up with him in Hollywood while he was here promoting the new superhero flick.

We also tested his co-stars Rachel McAdams and Tilda Swinton's Operation skills by giving all of them one minute to remove as many body parts as they could without being buzzed.

The latest Marvel movie is an adaptation of the Doctor Strange comic series. Cumberbatch stars as the title character, a top neurosurgeon who gains superpowers when he visits a mystic (Swinton) to help heal his hands after they are destroyed in a car accident.

The cast also includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen and Benjamin Bratt. The action-packed film is directed by Scott Derrickson. And when you go see the movie—it's in theaters Nov. 4—make sure to stay through the very end of the credits. There is not one, but two surprises.

Cumberbatch admits it's "very surreal" to play a superhero.

"The minute that cape went on I just looked in the mirror and I went, 'Oh, my god!'" he told me. "I got the giggles like a kid. I was like, 'Oh, my god—I'm playing a superhero!'"
