One MTV reporter apparently doesn't want us to forget about one pop culture scandal.

Shortly before Ariana Grande was set to take the stage with Nicki Minaj, the "Dangerous Woman" singer stopped by MTV's Video Music Awards pre-show.

But in between asking about music, host Charlamagne Tha God just had to bring up her doughnut licking video.

"Look you can't be licking no pastries tonight," he shared. Trying to play it cool, Ariana replied, "Okay alright I'll take notes."

But then he had to repeat himself by saying "No pastry licking." A little too much? We'll let you decide. "I'll keep it in mind," Ariana said.

Back in July of 2015, the 23-year-old apologized after surveillance footage showed the singer licking doughnuts at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore.

"First of all, I mean my behavior was very offensive and I apologized," the "Break Free" singer shared with Good Morning America. "There is no excuse and there is nothing to justify it. But you know, I think that as human beings we all say and do things that we don't mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. That's part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes and that's how we grow."

She continued, "I think one of the biggest things I learned from that is what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you and that's an excruciating feeling and you have to remember your word, your actions have, you know, ramifications and you have to really think about what you're about to say and do because it's important."

Fast-forward to tonight and Ariana is expected to perform her new single with Nicki titled "Step by Step." The duo will also premiere the music video after tonight's broadcast. As for where is her rumored boyfriend Mac Miller? We may have an answer for you.

"[He's] being supportive," Ariana shared during the pre-show. "It's ok to be alone when you have a boo!"
