Every year, a number of A-listers unite to empower the young Americans of our generation as they gear up to go back to school, to promote conversations about important and timely social issues, sparking ideas and inspiring action.

This celeb gathering helps promote the WE Movement (as part of WE Day, of course), which inspires people to live WE by taking action on issues and creating systemic change in communities around the world.

The star-studded lineup for the telecast, which is broadcasted on Aug. 28, includes Charlize Theron, Demi Lovato, Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen, Selena Gomez, Natalie Portman, Common, Big Sean, Orlando Bloom, Rowan Blanchard, Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Jacob Tremblay, Zooey Deschanel,  Tyrese Gibson—wait, there's more—Mark Ruffalo, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, David Foster, Paula Abdul, Von Miller, Amandla Stenberg, Hannah Simone, Rico & Raini Rodriguez and Kermit the Frog with other Muppets.

These celebs will come together to lend their voices to bringing people together and giving them the tools to change the world locally and globally, hopefully achieving transformative outcomes for themselves and others.

"I'm proud to be a part of the WE Movement—part of a community made up of world-changers who are coming together to make a lasting, positive impact across America and the world," Lovato said in a statement. "WE Day will unite and inspire Americans, reminding them that there is so much good and love in the world. I live WE every day and believe that by supporting one another we can truly change the world together."

Portman also stated, "I pledge to live WE—working to ensure that every girl around the world has access to an education. We can all make a difference by the choices that we make, our actions and intentions, and by the way we treat and support others. By pledging to live WE, Americans are committing to join a collective community that is making better choices, spreading love, not hate, and working together to make the world a better place. I am honored to be a part of the WE Movement and believe that change is within each of us and that together we can change the world."

WE Day airs commercial-free on ABC, Sunday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. EST.
