Selena Gomez can't keep her house to herself.
In celebration of the Fourth of July, the 23-year-old songstress hosted her own friend-filled bash in between scheduled shows for her Revival world tour. After she finished up her July 2 show in Denver and wasn't expected back on stage in Phoenix until July 5, Gomez celebrated the weekend away with a group of pals while playing hostess.
"Hostess vibes. Happy 4th everyone!" she captioned a steady video on Instagram of herself wading through the crowd at the party until she jumped back first into the pool.
In between belting out Katy Perry's "Firework" and lighting sparklers, it looked like Gomez and her gang had the picture-perfect celebration.
Meanwhile, celebrity BFF Taylor Swift got into the American spirit by hosting her own star-studded party at her Rhode Island home. The bash featured standard squad members like Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid as well as newcomers like expectant parents Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba.
Clad in USA-themed ensembles, the ladies posed for an expressive group shot as fireworks lit up the sky behind them.
However, it seems there was no newer guest to the group than Swift's beau, Tom Hiddleston, who got the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with most of his leading lady's best gal pals.
"Tom has met all of Taylor's best friends at this point in their relationship," an insider told E! News. "They all really like Tom and like how he treats Taylor. Things are moving fast between them, but none of her friends are worried because they never have seen her this happy."
While Gomez may have missed the Rhode Island festivities, she hasn't been too far away from her bestie's blooming romance. In late June, Taylor and Tom enjoyed one of their date nights at Gomez's concert in Nashville.
"Taylor invited Tom to go. Tom always wants to please Taylor and show her that her friends matter," a source told E! News. "Taylor likes that about Tom."
Though geography may have kept Taylor and Selena apart this holiday, text messages have helped the ladies keep each other in the loop, especially about Swift's new relationship. "[Taylor] texted her close friends and said, 'I think I am in love and I never felt this way before!'" an insider told E! News.
"It seems like everyone, including her close friends, think this is going to be the guy she will end up with."
