The 26-year-old Australian rapper was spotted looking sullen Friday before boarding a flight at Los Angeles International Airport. She wore a white T-shirt and a black jacket and pants and also sported at times a baseball cap and sunglasses. She refused to answer paparazzi's questions about her split from Young.
Iggy announced last Sunday she and the 31-year-old Los Angeles Lakers player had broken up. The two had dated for more than two years and got engaged last June.
"Unfortunately, although I love Nick and I have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him—It's become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to," Iggy had said.
Young tweeted, "single."
The news came almost three months after he was involved in a cheating scandal, stemming from a leaked video that teammate D'Angelo Russell recorded that showed Young talking about a woman he met at a club while he was still dating Iggy.
News of the split also comes about a week after Iggy announced she has been cast as a judge on The X Factor Australia on its upcoming eighth season, replacing Danni Minogue. she joins fellow newbie Adam Lambert and veteran judge Guy Sebastian.
"I really didn't picture myself being a judge on any kind of television show but I think that actually this could be a good fit for me so I said yes," Iggy told The Daily Telegraph Australia in comments posted on June 11.
"Initially I didn't know but then I thought it would be good to come back to Australia and have an opportunity to spend some time there and obviously to see my family, who live in Sydney," she added. "So I think it will be a good situation for multiple reasons. I'm really excited and I don't really know what to expect."
