This royal pair has discovered the secret to a lasting marriage—poke fun at each other often.
In fact, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William seem to practice the rule quite regularly, as the following list will demonstrate.
Whether it's regarding the mother of two's less-than-stellar cooking skills or the "hairless heir's" unmissable bald spot, there may be no one better to poke fun at each other's weak spots than this husband and wife.
The lighthearted banter between this couple has been going on in the public light for years—a refreshing update to the typically straightforward royal public decorum.
Here's a look back at all of the pair's playful jabs.
Most recently, Prince William took aim at the duchess' lackluster skills in the kitchen. "William has to put up with my cooking most of the time," Kate reportedly told a group of Michelin-starred chefs during a five-course gala dinner in Norfolk on Thursday.
"It's the reason I'm so skinny," William replied.
We could take a bite out of that sass!
It seems like Middleton is guilty of getting a bit too talkative while mingling during public appearances.
"There's a real art to walkabouts. Everybody teases me in the family that I spend far too long chatting," Kate admitted in the ITV documentary Our Queen at Ninety. "I still have to learn a little bit more, and to pick up a few more tips I suppose."
We have no doubt a lifetime royal like William will be ready and willing to offer his wife a little advice.
During a holiday charity competition in December 2015, the couple faced off to see who could raise the most money during ICAP's Charity Day Wednesday on London's trading floor. The prince suddenly caught his wife getting a little flirty on the phone while speaking to a broker to firm up a business transaction and outearn her husband.
"Catherine, I think you can stop flirting with them now!" Prince William reportedly joked in front of the group.
Blushing, anyone?
Cooking, greetings and flirting are not the only topics worthy of some teasing. The couple has taken turns with jabs at each other's hair
First, Middleton suggested a new form of a weave for her husband's thinning head. During a shearing demonstration at the Royal Easter Show in April 2014, the duchess saw a similarity between an alpaca's coat of hair and her husband's lessening locks.
"The Prince was interested in the alpaca and as I showed it to them, the Princess said he should put it on his head," farmer Lyn Crejan told reporters. "She said, 'You need it more than me,' and pointed to his head and he laughed."
However, the joke was on Kate as, several months later in December 2014, William found an opportunity to get his wife back for the quip.
During a private visit to the Centrepoint homeless charity, Prince William suggested that a trainee hairdresser style his wife's "nightmare" hair.
We just think he's a little jealous of her glorious mane.
