So perhaps it should come as no surprise that when the Jane the Virgin star opened up questions to her Twitter followers Tuesday afternoon, one question and answer received some extra attention.
During a round of #AskGina, one fan wanted to know a little more about Gina's personal life.
"Do you identify as straight?" a follower named Ray asked.
"I don't need anyone to define their sexuality to me nor do I feel the need to either," she responded. "I love hearts. Period."
During Tuesday's Q&A, Gina also opened up to fans about rejection, the importance of staying positive and more.
When someone asked the Golden Globes winner how she stays "happy," Gina continued to address the importance of love.
"As far as I know I get one life. I'm going to live it," she replied. "No time for negativity. No space for hatred. All love."
And if rejection just so happens to come along, you get right back up and try again.
"Of course I'm afraid of rejection but I won't allow it to stop me. The worst is someone says no, so I find the yes," she explained. "You can't get everything you want in life, it won't always go your way. Accepting that allows you to find your story."
