It's all happening! We're down to the very last elimination round before the final four jet off to Miami next month.
We've already seen the best festival season, business luncheon and red carpet looks from the other contestants, but this last TRESemmé challenge is all about stepping it up for summer weddings. Whether you're a guest or a bridesmaid, putting together a stunning look that doesn't upstage the bride is tricky business.
Up for the challenge were style enthusiasts and competitors Lauren Graham and Ida Tedesco. Luckily, they had a little assistance from TRESemmé stylist John D who helped create summer-ready updos for the occasion at hand.
To complement Ida's pastel cocktail dress, a textured bun at the nape of the neck felt sophisticated but fresh—perfect for daytime celebrations. To create a similar style for your invite-only affair, slick hair back into a low ponytail and twist into a bun. Before you secure the style, keep flyaways at bay by running the TRESemmé Tres Two Extra-Firm Control Gel through hair from your roots to mid-shaft. Smooth out the gel with a brush and fasten with an elastic. For the messy bun portion, loosely curl strands and randomly pin away!
To balance out the bright pink shift dress that Lauren chose, a romantic hair twist was the perfect choice. First order of business: Achieving a soft texture by running damp hair through with a handful of TRESemmé Tres Two Extra-Firm Control Mousse. By focusing the product at the roots, you'll easily be able to achieve a weightless volume at home. To complete the updo, blow dry and loosely curl hair, then twist small sections along each side. Secure into a low ponytail and tie into a knot, pinning back random sections. When you have it where you want it, set the entire look with TRESemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Hairspray.
