Charlie Puth had us in tears this morning.

The 24-year-old singer appeared NBC News' Today on Friday and dedicated a touching performance of his hit "See You Again" to the 49 victims of the devastating Orlando shooting.

He told co-host Willie Geist before singing the song, "It was a really, really hard weekend. I dedicated it to my friend, Christina Grimmie, and to everyone that lost their life in Orlando."

He continued, "But like I always say, 'Your body dies, but your soul lives on.' Everyone's soul who was lost that day goes in through everybody else. That's what 'See You Again' is about. It's to help with everyone cope with a loss."

Charlie began his performance, and the crowd couldn't help but cheer and sing along, giving us chills as photos of the victims were shown.

"See You Again" was originally featured on the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to the late Paul Walker, who tragically passed away in a car crash in November 2013 at the age of 40.

Now, the song hits home after the Orlando shooting during which Omar Mateen opened fired in the gay nightclub, Pulse, killing 49 people and injuring more than 50 more. It is now the biggest mass shooting in U.S. history.

(E! News and the Today Show are both part of the NBC Universal family).
