We already knew that Luann de Lesseps wasn't the first Real Housewife to strike fiance Tom D'Agostino's fancy, but was anyone really expecting to learn she was the third Bravolebrity he'd tangoed with? That was the shocking truth we learned last night on The Real Housewives of New York City—but perhaps even more shocking than that is that he's hardly the first paramour in the franchise to date more than one of the ladies.
No, he's merely the latest in a string of men who've done double (or triple, more accurately) duty with the First Ladies of Bravo. We present to you the Real Housewives Double-Dippers club.
Tom D'Agostino
When Luann first told the ladies about the new love in her life, Ramona Singer immediately piped up, claiming she'd dated him first. How serious things were between Ms. Turtle Time and Tom remains a point of contention among the ladies, though. Ramona claims there were several dates (which many of the other ladies support), while Luann insists it was nothing more than one dinner. Perhaps the lady doth protest too much? In light of Sonja Morgan's admission that she and Tom were also hooking up before he coupled up with the Countess, we've think we've got a serial Double-Dipper on our hands. And it's important to note Tom was seen in season one of Real Housewives of New York City seemingly hitting on Ramona.
Harry Dubin
When Aviva Drescher joined the cast in season five, she brought with her some serious baggage in the form of ex-husband Harry Dubin. It would almost be easier to list who among that season's cast didn't know this guy intimately. Aside from his past with Aviva, the real estate mogul was immediately linked to both Sonja and Luann. He would continue to pursue Sonja on the series into season six, even once offering her a promise ring of some sort, but that all came crashing down when he suspiciously left a party with Luann instead.
Tomas
What is it with Sonja and Luann? In season five, the ladies traveled to St. Barts and encountered this Johnny Depp look-alike while out at Le Ti. Luann, who was with Jacques at the time, stayed out later than the rest of the ladies, bringing home her Italian friends—and Tomas, a fact she later tried to cover up with some stealthily-deployed French that the producers just translated anyway. The following night, Tomas returned to the ladies' villa for a dinner party and wound up getting frisky (in the yard!) with Sonja, who'd had eyes on the Capt. Jack Sparrow wannabe all along.
Slade Smiley
Of course, none of these RHONY guys have anything on the founding member of the Real Housewives Double-Dippers club. When the first entry in Bravo's franchise premiered way back in 2006, Slade Smiley was romancing inaugural Real Housewives of Orange County star Jo De La Rosa. During her two seasons on the show, they would break up and reconcile on several occasions. On one such occasion, Slade began dating divorced Housewife Lauri Waring (now Peterson). Slade disappeared from the series, along with Jo, after season two, but came back with a vengeance in season five when he began dating a third Housewife, Gretchen Rossi. The couple remained together through the rest of Gretchen's run on the series, even getting engaged in season eight, her last.
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo, while The Real Housewives of Orange County returns for season 11 on Monday, June 20 at 9 p.m.
