Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are "loving every moment" with their newborn baby Luna Simone and are already looking forward to expanding their family even further.

The 30-year-old model and Lip Sync Battle host and the 37-year-old music artist welcomed their daughter, their first child, in April.

"John and Chrissy do want another baby sooner rather than later," a source told E! News exclusively. "They both always wanted a big family."

Teigen and Legend underwent years of infertility before welcoming Luna. The model underwent IVF treatments, consisting of dozens of hormone injections, to conceive their daughter. And they created siblings; the couple had some leftover embryos that were frozen for future use. They have not specified how many.

Unless the two conceive naturally, in order to become pregnant again, Teigen would need to undergo a similar but less rigorous medication to prepare her body and then have at least one of the embryos thawed and implanted.

But Teigen told People magazine she wants to have more children than the number of embryos they ended up with, adding she will likely have to undergo IVF again.

"I wish I had frozen my eggs earlier," Teigen said. "We have a few more on ice. Who knows what will work?"

"It would have been better if I had made a ton of embryos when I was already doing the shots," she added. "Because now I have to do the shot thing again. I think about that."

The fertility of most women, aka their egg quality and quantity, begins to decline at Teigen's age. Also, it is never certain an embryo will implant and turn into a baby, although the couple's stand higher chances of doing so as they were genetically tested for chromosomal abnormalities.

And while doctors have mixed opinions about the issue, conceiving quickly after giving birth also comes with a health risk: Women who become pregnant again less than six to nine months after welcoming a child have a higher chance of going into premature labor in their subsequent pregnancy, according to the American Pregnancy Association.

Meanwhile, Teigen and Legend are enjoying being new parents. The singer has also been working on new music inspired by Luna, who is generating quite the fan base.

"They have had many visitors at their house to visit the baby Luna," the source told E! News. "Everyone says Luna looks like Chrissy more and more."

"Chrissy and John are so happy," the source said. "They are loving every moment they have with their baby Luna . She is healthy and so beautiful. She is such a happy baby."

Also, Teigen has also been working out hard to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight.

"She has a trainer and been doing cardio," the source said. "Chrissy has lost a big chunk of the weight already. She is not on any special diet—just watching her food intake—but still indulges here and there cause she is such a foodie."
