Sophia Grace Brownlee's latest single, "Girl in the Mirror," is all kinds of catchy with an empowering message for teens everywhere.
It's crazy to think the breakout star who sang her way into America's heart on The Ellen DeGeneres Show nearly five years ago has grown out of her signature pink tutu and is now 13 years old.
Sophia's latest song touches on more substantive adolescent issues, like self-confidence and self-acceptance. It's a definite departure from her last single, "Best Friends"—but just as addictive to sing along to.
Additionally, this is Sophia's first collaboration with rapper Silentø, famous for "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)." The two teens rap during the song's bridge, a moment that would make Sophia's mentor Nicki Minaj very proud.
Set against a copious amount of pink décor, there's also a moment between Sophia Grace and Silentø, in full-on big brother mode, that is sure to tug at your heartstrings.
"Hey Silento? Is there anything you would change about yourself?" asks Sophia.
"I dance a lot, but I don't think there's anything I would change," replies Silentø. "How about you?"
To which Sophia responds, "No, I like who I am."
Sophia Grace, rest assured we all adore you just the way you are.
