Ryan Reynolds was crushing on Blake Lively long before the couple made things official.
As you probably recall, the pair first met in 2010 while filming The Green Lantern with Ryan playing the titular hero and Blake his love interest. At the time, they both had other flings: the hunky actor was married to Scarlett Johansson (though they filed for divorce later that year) and Blake was dating her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley.
Even after their breakups, they put on a great facade, appearing to be chummy co-stars and nothing more. However, we did get a little hint of Ryan's possible crush on Blake during our interview with him at the Green Lantern premiere in June 2011.
Rumors had spread that the blonde beauty is more than just a pretty face and a good actress...she's also skilled in the kitchen!
"Oh, she's quite a baker," he confirmed to E! News at the premiere. "There's nothing she can't cook, that's sort of the problem."
Hmm...a problem because that's something that would definitely win over a man's heart? We think so.
He continued, "This girl's in a kitchen all day, baking our crew on our movie everything you can imagine. I mean she had souffles coming," he laughed. "What's weird is she would live 30 minutes away but when she brought stuff it was still warm. I think there's an easy bake oven in her car."
LOL! Though a little sideways, that's definitely a compliment to Ryan's now-wife—as proven by the months following the film's premiere.
The couple ended up dating in October 2011 and reportedly moved in together in April 2012. They finally tied the knot in September 2012, saying "I do" at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., just outside of Charleston.
Blake gave birth to their first child (a baby girl named James) on Jan. 5, 2015, and she is currently pregnant with their second little one.
