She hosted the Maybelline New York Beauty Bash at the Line Hotel in Los Angeles Friday, a day after E! News learned about the breakup, turning heads in a sexy black spaghetti strap mini dress adorned with a front button panel and with side zip-up slits, paired with metallic pumps, a metallic choker and dark berry lips. She also reunited on the pink carpet with an old friend—Alli Simpson, the 18-year-old sister of one of her other ex-boyfriends, Cody Simpson.
Alli, also a model and singer, posted a photo and video of her with Hadid on her Instagram page.
Alli wore a black draped spaghetti strap top, paired with matching pants, pointed lace-up pumps and a beaded cream choker and a string black one.
Hadid appeared to be in good spirits at the event and danced with friends by the pool. At one point, Malik's single "Pillowtalk" was played and the model danced to part of the song with DJ twins Haya and Sama Khadra, aka Simi Haze, E! News has learned.
Hadid also hung out at the party with Christina Milian and left around 9 p.m., after about an hour, with several friends.

Hadid was also all smiles earlier in the day, when she was pictured walking in sporty apparel in Los Angeles.
Hadid and Malik, 23, had dated for roughly seven months. The reason for their split was not given, but a source told E! News Hadid and the former One Direction singer had quarreled during her birthday in April, and have "broken up and got back together a few times" throughout their relationship. Another source added the couple "can likely get back together."
Hadid and Cody dated on and off between late 2013 and spring 2013. Alli had told E! News before their breakup she loves Hadid, adding, "I'm the one that's like just get married already, it's ridiculous. They are so adorable. They bring out the best in each other."
