James Corden is finally getting his shot.
Hamilton fans, your dreams are coming true on Monday, June 6, as The Late Late Show is officially gifting us with a Broadway-themed Carpool Karaoke, which of course will feature Lin-Manual Miranda. Other guests set to strap on their seat belts? Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski. The Broadway-themed special will happen just days before Corden hosts the 2016 Tony Awards live on June 12.
Miranda's smash-hit hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton, America's first Treasury secretary, made Tony Awards history, earning 16 nominations, including three individual nods for its star and creator.
Corden recently shot down rumors he would be doing a version of Carpool Karaoke during the Tonys live broadcast, telling E! News, "I don't believe we should do it as part of the Tonys because the truth is it doesn't really work less than seven minutes and you don't want to leave the Beacon Theatre to celebrate a night of something that's live for something that you have to pre-tape and edit."
Since launching with Mariah Carey, the British host has driven with legends such as Stevie Wonder and Elton John for the insanely popular late-night segment, but in a a recent interview with Time Out, Corden revealed two people he really wants to come on the show. "Beyoncé! Bruno Mars," he admitted.
Corden's Broadway-themed Carpool Karaoke will air on Monday, June 6 on The Late Late Show, while The Tony Awards will air live on CBS June 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
