Forget the Man in the Iron Mask, let's talk about what Barry did (you know, THAT thing)

The Flash's season two finale gave us plenty of answers.

We finally found out who the Man in the Iron Mask is, Barry defeated Zoom, and Iris finally told Barry she wanted to date him. But those reveals weren't even the biggest WTF moments of the episode.

There were many more twists that left our heads spinning, especially that last one. Oh, you know, the thing where Barry went back in time and ERASED THE WHOLE DAMN TIMELINE AND SAVED HIS MOTHER!

The Man in the Mask Reveal

Okay, so many of us thought the man Zoom was holding hostage would be the real Jay Garrick—but how many of you suspected who would play him? It's kind of fitting that TV's original Flash (John Wesley Shipp) is playing Jay Garrick, the comics' original Flash.

Earth-3!

It is a thing, and Jay Garrick is from there. Our brains, they are exploding.

Zoom's Gone

Zoom challenged Barry to a race, and if he declined, Joe would die. But if he accepted, he would help power a weapon that would destroy the multiverse. Barry, being the smart scientist that he is, worked up a strategy involving time remnants and time wraiths that got Zoom out of the picture. (Seriously, don't understand exactly how this worked but it totally did.)

Harry and Jesse Go Home—and Bring Jay With Them

How will Wally and Jesse flirt if they're on different Earths? Will Jay make it one more Earth home to Earth-3? Will any of this matter thanks to what Barry just did?

Iris Is Finally Ready for a Relationship!

Too bad Barry wasn't in a good headspace, losing his dad and all. "You waited for me for years. You let me get to a place where this was possible. So I am telling you I'm going to do the same thing for you," Iris told him, right before Barry blew everything up.

Barry Did What?!

This guy. THIS GUY. This jerk actually ran back in time to the night of his mother's death (again), but this time he decided to save her. ERASING THE WHOLE TIMELINE.  BARRY.
