E! News confirms that Beyoncé has mysteriously canceled her upcoming Nashville concert, and, if the wording is still lost on you, there was no explanation given as to why.
"Following Wednesday's sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5 will be rescheduled," Bey's rep tells E! News in a statement. "Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event."
The rep adds that there are no other changes concerning her tour dates. Queen B will return to the stage tonight in Tampa, Fla., and resume her tour with Atlanta on Sunday, North Carolina on Tuesday and so on.
According to the world tour's official Twitter page, the concert was "postponed due to stadium construction.
During Beyoncé's first Formation tour stop, husband Jay Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Bey's BFF Michelle Williams were all spotted watching in the front rows. Beyoncé had recently dominated social media following the release of her new visual album Lemonade, in which she sings about relationship problems and a cheating lover, spurring renewed attention in past rumors about Jay Z. The two have not confirmed nor denied the reports.
At the concert, Beyoncé dedicated a performance of her 2008 song "Halo" to her "beautiful husband," saying, "I love you so much."
She also stirred up some controversy by offering Formation tour merchandise bearing the slogan "Boycott Beyoncé" after the first show in Miami. The interesting move comes more than two months after the singer stirred mixed emotions with a political and racially charged "Formation" music video and a performance of the song at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, which didn't sit well with Miami police.
Javier Ortiz, chief of Miami's police union, had urged officers to boycott Beyoncé's concert in the city, saying the singer "used this year's Super Bowl to divide Americans by promoting the Black Panthers and her anti-police message shows how she does not support law enforcement," according to The Miami New Times.
However, a Miami Police Department spokesman said several cops were slated to work the event and the concert was to be "fully staffed." Bey has also denied Ortiz's claims, but did state that she is "against police brutality and injustice."
