Kylie Jenner is no longer standing in the shadow of any member of her family's spotlight, and she's definitely not standing behind a man either. She's made a name and a business for herself, and she doesn't rely on anyone else.

This is the theme throughout her interview for the cover of Glamour U.K.'s June 2016 issue in which she chats a bit about taking her own life in her hands and how she plans to do even bigger and better things in the future.

"I haven't had a dollar of my mom's money for five years," she tells the publication. "Ever since I started earning my own money, I've paid for everything: all my cars, houses, clothes, everything. I like to know exactly what's going on, and I'm actually quite careful with what I spend.  We all are as a family."

In fact, Kylie says her ability to maintain her own finances and not rely on anyone else is something that helps define her as a feminist.

"I don't think I stand up in public that way a lot," she says. "Not that I don't feel things in my personal life, but yes: I do consider myself  a feminist."

Despite dating Tyga, who's several years older than her, she's never relied on him financially and considers herself an independent woman. "I'm a young woman, for one thing, and I don't depend on a man or anybody else," she continues. "I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I'm an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own."

That's something she hopes to continue to do, too. Discussing Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kylie admits she knows it will eventually come to an end, and at that point she hopes to move out of the spotlight a little bit.

"In time, I think I'll just slowly start moving behind the scenes," she revealed. "The show has to end eventually, and I'm not going to leave until we're done with it, but by 20 I want to have the whole of my cosmetics line out because that's my primary focus.  I definitely won't want to be doing anything else that would make me more public."
