In a touching tribute piece to the late singer, who died last Thursday at age 57, the 30 Rock alum and comedian recalled how the artist's music affected him. He also shared fond memories of hanging out with Prince.
"Was he an influence? Absolutely!" Morgan, 47, said in his ode, posted in Billboard. "He was talking about making love, he was a sexy man! Prince's music taught me how to suck t---ies! He taught me how to be gentle. Because of him, I once sucked a t---y for an hour. At the end, it looked like a tater tot. I love Prince."
Morgan also talked about how he listened to Prince's 1985 song "Condition of the Heart" for a full day after returning from his father's funeral in 1987.
"That was the last song I said, 'Dad, listen to this!'" Morgan said. "And my father said, "That's a good record."
Morgan also talked about attending a party at Prince's house in Los Angeles about seven years ago, which was also attended by Jennifer Lopez. He also recalled the story in his 2009 book I Am the New Black and in an interview on Conan days before the singer's death.
He said he, a male friend and two girls were the only guests left at the end.
"Prince and his wife came downstairs, and they had on purple pajamas," Morgan told Billboard. "He said, 'Tracy, get the f--k out!'"
"As I walked out the door, I grabbed him by the back of the neck, and I pulled him close to me," Morgan continued. "I noticed that mole on his face. He was so pretty, I turned gay for about five seconds. I said, 'My father loved 'When Doves Cry.'' And he said, 'Yeah, yeah. Just get the f--k out.'"
