People revealed Jennifer Aniston as 2016's "World's Most Beautiful Woman" Wednesday—and we're completely on board with this choice and that cover!
There are, of course, many other lovely public figures who surprisingly have yet to nab that coveted title and its No. 1 ranking. Many of these stars have been featured within the pages of People's annual issue, but their inner and outer beauty hasn't earned them cover recognition...yet.
Aniston is totally deserving of 2016's title, don't get us wrong, but these 10 stars could surely be contenders for our most beautiful list.
1. Taylor Swift: She's talented, classy, comical and somehow remains down-to-earth—what more could you want? Her recent Vogue makeover shows just how stunning she is in the physical sense, but Taylor's her generous spirit and true devotion to her fans that makes her beyond beautiful to us.
2. Eva Mendes: Ryan Gosling obviously agrees that this lady epitomizes beauty in every sense of the word.
The actress, who is pregnant with her and Ryan's second child, can rock a red carpet like it's nobody's business. At the end of the day, though, family is what's most important to Eva, and when the occasion calls for it, she's happy to use her celebrity status for a good cause.
3. Kerry Washington: The Scandal star is obviously easy on the eyes, but she's a lot more than just a pretty face. The mother of one is advocates for a number of important causes. In 2009, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President's Committee of the Arts and Humanities. She's also a member of the V-Counsel, an group of advisors to V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls.
4. Priyanka Chopra: The Baywatch star and former Miss World has the type of beauty that makes it impossible to take a bad less than perfect picture. With or without makeup, she's a knockout. She also serves as a a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and runs The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education.
5. Emma Watson: It's tough to beat beauty and brains! The Brown graduate is actually taking a year off from acting to focus on other passions in life, including furthering her knowledge on feminist. She's organized several projects with her HeForShe initiative, which she launched as a UN goodwill ambassador to engage men in the fight for gender equality. Currently, Emma is planning a HeForShe arts week and a university tour.
6. Shakira: This UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador is impossible not to love. Despite having grown up in the spotlight, Shakira is refreshingly humble and passionate about learning more and helping the world. The mother of two has worked with countless organizations on behalf of women, children, early education and eliminating poverty. Also, have you seen her dance?!
7. Jennifer Lawrence: Don't be fooled by the Oscar winner's girl-next-door schtick: J.Law is movie star gorgeous, no matter how you look at it. She's also known for visiting children's hospitals and bringing smiles to patients and their families. Her op-ed on the gender wage gap sparked a whole new conversation, too, and it's obvious Jen's passions extend far beyond the superficial.
8. Blake Lively: Her lifestyle website didn't quite work out, but it seems like pretty much everything else is coming up roses in this lady's life. Blake's obviously a beautiful, fashion-forward actress and entrepreneur, and like others on this list, she's extremely family focused. We see that, alongside her often quirky sense of humor, on her Instagram feed, where she also highlights important causes and charities that are near and dear to her heart.
9. Zoe Saldana: We liked her in Center Stage, fell in love with her in Crossroads and pretty much never looked back. Not only is this mother of two strikingly beautiful and tremendously talented, but she's passionate about women's equality and she's not afraid to speak her mind.
10. Megan Fox: There's not a human being on this earth who would disagree with the fact that this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star is smoking hot. She's undeniably beautiful in the physical sense, and she's also one hell of a firecracker. She's outspoken, sometimes sassy, and beyond hilarious. Who was the first person to make a #NotTheFather joke about news of her third pregnancy break? Megan, obviously.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for all of these ladies, it goes a lot further than just skin deep.
