Who wants to know a diarrhea-inducing fun fact!? Eater notes, Americans, according to the National Chicken Council, will smash 1.3 billion chicken wings into their grub-loving mouths on Super Bowl Sunday. Let's stop and think about the number for a second. Actually, let's not, because we're starting to dry heave onto our keyboard. How do restaurants prepare for such a whirlwind of wings? According to Eater, Hooters, is prepped to order 22,000 more wings to keep up with orders. Eater mentions that Hooters alone is set to serve over 7 million wings on game day. Dang, y'all!

As for Wingstop, Eater says they sold 8 million wings during last year's Super Bowl and wing sales go up about 190 percent during Super Bowl Sunday.

How do the other Super Bowl foods compare, especially when you order-in? Eater notes that chicken wings dominate nachos, pizza and dip. I mean, duh?

Let's not leave the staple drink out of this, though! Beer is key to washing down all those wings. Ever wonder why there are so many beer commercials during the game? Eater concluded, based on data from the United States Census Bureau, February and March are the two months that kick off the climb to great summer beer sales. In other words, beer sales rise in both February and March. Since the game is in Feburary, you can expect to see an abundance of beer commercials during the game.
