Rory and Logan, back together?

Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival has signed on its first ex-boyfriend: Matt Czuchry is returning for the four-part reunion series, TVLine reports.

According to the site, the Good Wife star, who played Rory's Yale boyfriend from seasons five to seven (and whose marriage proposal was declined at the end of the series), has closed his deal and will definitely be back to Stars Hollow.

Although Netflix declined to comment on the casting report, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has hinted that several of Rory's ex-loves would return for the as-yet-untitled reunion series.

Before the cast reunited at ATX Television Festival last June, Czuchry told E! News that he had already begun to prepare by re-watching the episodes he was in. "I've already started the process of reviewing the episodes Logan was a part of and it's been really cool," he told us at the time. "One of the things that stands out is Amy Sherman-Palladino just created a great character there. That show was incredibly well-written and of course the wit and the fast-pace that made Gilmore Girls so unique—it was fun to revisit that."

He even understood Rory's decision to turn down Logan's proposal, so don't expect any hard feelings there. "I also think that show was about two strong women who had been on their own and make their way on their own, so I felt like that was the heart of the show. Regardless if it had been Logan, Dean or Jess who asked her at the end, I think she gave the proper answer: 'No.' It's not a reflection on Logan, but more of a reflection on the show, the heart of the show in terms of Rory being on her own and a strong woman on her own. I kind of like that answer."
