Did You Catch the Mini Friends Reunion on The People v. O.J. Simpson?

When you're a Friends fan, your brain becomes a treasure trove of useless useful trivia and a professionally trained eye for spotting anyone who might have appeared on screen of the NBC sitcom in other projects.

So tell us, if you call yourself a Friends fan, did you catch the mini reunion on Tuesday night's premiere episode of The People v. O.J. Simpson?

If you missed it, it might have been because you were focused on the delicious drama that was unfolding as O.J. Simpson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) quickly became the prime suspect in the tragic deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. That's understandable, because that's what you should have been focusing on.

But when David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian first came onscreen and his very first interaction was with this guy:

Our Friends-trained brains immediately thought of Ross and Professor Spafford, aka Professor Boring in the season nine episode titled "The One With the Soap Opera Party."

Aw, those two crazy kids finally found each other again! Too bad it was under such terrible circumstances. And also, technically in the past. Whatever, mini Friends reunion!

The actor, Ken Lerner, plays O.J. Simpson's attorney Howard Weitzman on the FX series. Or at least he is O.J.'s attorney until getting the boot for Robert Shapiro (John Travolta) and Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance).
