Kate Hudson Reveals Who She Kissed on New Year's Eve (and Yes, It Was a Fellow Super-Hot Person)

Always nice to be able to put a couple of faces with the voices—especially if the voices belong to Kate Hudson and Jack Black.

At the 2016 People's Choice Awards last night, the Kung Fu Panda 3 co-stars chatted with E! News about how excited they are for their upcoming family-friendly film and revealed what sort of things entertain them these days, now that they're not quite as young as their target audience.

Well, we should have known. When you ask what people are digging these days, the answer is always "Adele."

"The new one, that's another tearjerker," Hudson informed Black as he belted out a few lines of "Hello." "When we Were Young, it's basically like we're all old, staring at each other, wishing we were young again," Kate, who was one of the celebs shedding social media tears when "Hello" was released, waxed rhapsodic about Adele's second single off of 25.

Not that the gorgeous mother of two is wasting any time wallowing.

"I had an excellent New Year's!" she also told us, but apparently it was so good she didn't want to share too many details...

"I think it was pretty uneventful because we don't go out and party late night anymore," noted Black, who has two kids with wife Tanya Haden.

"I do," Kate said with a cheeky smile. "I brought it in." So does that mean a midnight kiss was involved?! With, maybe...a certain adorable pop star...?

"Not really," she insisted. "I mean, like, my parents." (Well, we bet Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell appreciated it all the same.)

But not Nick Jonas, her seemingly very good friend whom she was just spotted grabbing Starbucks with in snowy Mammoth, Calif., earlier this week?

"Not on New Year's!" the star replied when we asked—without naming names—if there wasn't a particular guy she wanted to grab and kiss at midnight.

"Or a woman, you never know," Black saucily interjected.

"Dakota," Kate admitted. "Dakota Johnson was my New Year's kiss."

Survey says: Still really hot!

Overall, it sounds like both actors spent New Year's Eve comfy and cozy—a great way to ring in 2016, which promises plenty to get excited about.

"My kids are super excited!" Kate happily shared her sons' feelings about Mom's latest movie, Kung Fu Panda 3, which hits theaters Jan. 29. "It was so last minute for me and they were like, do you want to come do it? And I was like, 'yes.' And it was all a bit of a whirlwind."

"Here's the thing," added Black, who voiced Po in the first two KFP films as well. "I can tell it's gonna be a hit because I'm having a little screening at my kid's school….Insta sellout, insta sellout. I think it's a good test. Market research."

Considering the latest installment packs the 1-2 punch of Jack Black and Kate Hudson... we're ready to believe him. Happy New Year to all!
