"To me, that's what's really unique and authentic about this show—Dick Wolf and NBC have something so amazing," says P.D.'s Jon Seda. "In real life, when there's a big crisis going on, you see the fire come together, you see the EMTs come together, you see the police come together."

You'll see that collaboration in the three-part crossover, which P.D.'s LaRoyce Hawkins guarantees will make you emotional. "It is crazy, and it it's honestly, in my humble opinion, one of the best stories that we've been able to tell," he says. "Bottom line is when you see this crossover it's going to pull your heartstrings in a way that I don't think we've done just yet."

The crossover begins with Chicago Fire and Chicago Med on Tuesday, Jan. 5 from 9 to 11 p.m., and concludes the following day with Med at 10 p.m. on NBC.
