Oh heck, it was really awkward, and the fact that Ripa was there to make him feel both better and just a little bit more like a chump was proof positive that they've got it right.
It's all about the chemistry, really, each being charismatic on his or her own but doubly so when they come together.
We loved Ripa with Regis Philbin and are wary of change, so it makes us extra happy these days to see how organically she and Strahan have become a cohesive unit—chatting with celebs, trading good-natured jabs and otherwise mixing it up like champs on Live! With Kelly and Michael on a near-daily basis for what will be three years come September.
