We didn't have to wait until Thursday to get one of the most epic throwback photos we've seen in a while.
Brett Ratner took an early trip down memory lane today— and boy, are we happy he did!
The filmmaker posted a vintage shot from the set of the music video he directed for "Thank God I Found You," which of course famously featured Mariah Carey, Joe and 98 Degrees, and talk about a time warp!
A youthful-looking Ratner is front and center while being surrounded by the pop and R&B superstars.
Carey looks flawless as ever with her super straight blond locks while wearing her then signature rainbow tank top.
As for the boys of 98 Degrees?
Well, Nick Lachey is sporting some pretty serious streaks in his hair while his brother Drew Lachey is rocking a cozy turtleneck. Justin Jeffre blinds us with his seriously bleached 'do and Jeff Timmons mugs for the camera with his perfect pearly white smile.
Also in the snap is R&B singer Joe showing off his sexy ripped arms in the early-aughts men's fashion staple, the white sleeveless undershirt. (That's the P.C. way to refer to those shirts now, right?)
Earlier this year speculation spread like wildfire that Ratner and Carey were dating after they were spotted shopping together in St. Barts, which was followed by a joint birthday celebration—but lest people forget, they've been friends for years!
"We're great friends," Ratner told E! News at the L.A. premiere of the HBO documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. "I'm directing her video. I've been friends with her for 20 years."
So obviously Ratner wasn't too rattled by the gossip.
"It makes me laugh actually," he said. "It cracks me up. We're great friends. She's awesome and she's amazing."
