Chris Evans is hanging up his superhero costume to put on his director hat.

Captain America is making his directorial debut in Before We Go, which has finally debuted its first trailer. In the romantic dramedy, Evans plays Nick Evans, a stranded man in Grand Central Station who happens to meet Brooke Dalton, played by Alice Eve, who also finds herself left behind in the terminal in the middle of the night after her purse gets stolen.

The two strangers embark on an adventure together, growing closer as the late evening and early morning hours pass them by. As the duo continues to open up to each other, they both teach each other to confront their fears as they struggle with their pasts and presents, and even love.

"How can one of the worst nights of my life also be one of the best?" she asks in the trailer.

Even though he isn't playing a superhero in this movie, it seems that Evans is still going to be a hero after all.

Before We Go debuts on Video on Demand July 21 and opens in select theaters Sept. 4.
