Here's something Katt Williams can add to his Pimp Chronicles: gun charges.

The hard-working comic was busted—and forced to cancel a late-night TV gig—after New York police pulled him over for a driving infraction and discovered he was packing heat.

The 37-year-old Friday After Next star and 10 members of his entourage were cruising through midtown Manhattan in a two-vehicle convoy Wednesday when officers spotted missing tags on his Cadillac Escalade, says NYPD spokesman Det. Martin Speechley.

A search turned up three handguns in both the SUV and the accompanying Mercedes, leading to the arrest of Williams and two companions on three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The funnyman spent 18 hours in jail before being released on $250,000 bond.

As a result, Williams missed his scheduled appearance on NBC's Late Night With Conan O'Brien. However, Williams did get it out in time to perform his stand-up act Thursday night at Carnegie Hall, telling the sold-out crowd "I'm not moving at my usual pace...I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago."

No word whether the firearms belonged to Williams. His lawyer, Charles Ross, was unavailable for comment.
