Arthur Cave, the son of Australian musician Nick Cave and Susie Bick, died Tuesday after falling off a cliff in Brighton, England. He was 15.

Nick was found with severe injuries after falling 60 feet off the chalk cliff, according to The Guardian. He was airlifted to the hospital after people nearby tried to treat him at the scene. Investigators said they wouldn't be treating his death as suspicious.

"A 15-year-old boy who was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital on Tuesday," a spokesperson for the Sussex police said. "Members of the public carried out first aid on the boy before he was taken to the Royal Sussex county hospital, Brighton, just after 6 p.m. He later died there of his injuries. The death is being dealt with by the coroner's officer."

His parents also confirmed his death in a statement. "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy, loving boy," it read. "We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."

Arthur and his twin brother, Earl Cave, both appeared in the quasi-documentary 20,000 Days on Earth, which followed their father, Nick, best known as the lead singer of the band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, over the course of a day.

Nick had four sons, two from previous relationships as well as Arthur and Earl. Nick and Susie live in central Brighton, about three miles from the spot where their son was found.

Per The Mirror, friends and family have begun to lay flowers and notes at the site. Arthur's parents are also said to have visited.
