It's been less than a week since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner jointly announced that they were ending their 10-year marriage, and now, the Oscar-winning is breaking his silence on social media.
While his tweet had nothing to do with his personal life, it's a tell-tale sign that Affleck is getting right back to work (just like his ex).
"@JohnKerry Thx for appointing Tom Perriello as Special Envoy, Africa Great Lakes & #DRC @EasternCongo partners look fwd to working w/ him," the actor turned political activist wrote.
Affleck is the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, which is focused on providing robust economic and social development for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He's worked tirelessly over the years to shed a light on the importance of the United States providing foreign aid to African countries, and most recently testified before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs in March of this year.
Garner, meanwhile, was spotted getting back to work on the set of her upcoming flick, Miracles From Heaven, in Atlanta.
The two appear to be wasting no time flat with getting back to business after a family-filled vacation in the Bahamas with their three kids—Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3—in the wake of their split announcement.
The duo maintained a united front during the vacation just days after releasing a statement announcing that they were ending their 10-year marriage.
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the two explained.
"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
