Is there life after Revenge?

Fans of the ABC sudser were left devastated when ABC decided to pull the plug on Emily's (Emily VanCamp) revenge mission, canceling the show after four seasons, with the series finale set to air on Sunday, May 10.

But could the network already be eyeing a potential spinoff?!

The Kingmakers is one of the pilots currently in contention for next season and comes from Revenge writer and producer Sallie Patrick. And it sounds VERY similar to Revenge.

The Kingmakers centers on a young man taking on a new identity to infiltrate an elite group at an Ivy League school in order to investigate the mysterious death of his sister. Newcomer Gus Halper, True Blood's Kristin Bauer Van Straten, Heroes' Adrian Pasdar, The Vampire Diaries' Michael Trevino and The Originals' Colin Woodell all appear in the pilot, and would star should it be picked up.

However, ABC tells E! News that The Kingmakers is not a spinoff, and the only connection between the two series is Patrick's involvement.

So sorry, Revenge fans. The cap on that red Sharpie isn't coming back off just yet.

And when asked by EW.com about Kingmakers possibly being a spinoff, Revenge boss Sunil Nayar said, "There isn't a whole lot that I can say to that except that Kingmakers is fabulous...It's got the blood and passion of Revenge hardwired into what the show is, but at the moment, it is not a spinoff in that there's no characters from this show that are, at the moment, planning on being in that show, but never say never."

Hey, we'll take whatever we can get.

Revenge's series finale airs Sunday, May 10 on ABC.
