After a very public and very ugly split, Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon are officially divorced, E! News confirms.
The couple's split took a dramatic turn when Anderson secured a temporary restraining order against Salomon after alleging that he "engaged in repeated acts of harassment and abuse" that caused her to experience "severe emotional distress." In the legal documents obtained by E! News, Anderson referenced "physical abuse in the past" and stated he was committing other types of abuse.
But it seems they since have come to an amicable agreement since their dramatic fallout. "Public divorces can be harsh and cruel - we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused-we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on," they said in a joint statement released to E! News.
"There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well."
This was the third time the Baywatch star and her ex-husband had filed for divorce, and it seemed to get more and more hostile as each party continued to attack each other and call each other names including "ugly old bitch" and "serial baby killer."
The couple originally wed in October 2007, but the 47-year-old star filed for an annulment shortly thereafter in February. The split didn't last too long, however, as they tied the knot again in January 2014 after spending six years apart. Less than six months after that, Anderson filed for divorce but ultimately requested the judge throw out the case because they had reconciled their "irreconcilable differences."
This was the third marriage for Anderson, who was previously linked to Tommy Lee, with whom she shares two sons. Salomon was married to Shannen Doherty beforehand, but also had that union annulled.
When Anderson filed for divorce for the third time in February, a rep told E! News, "It's a private matter. Pamela felt best to let go of a difficult situation."
We wish the best for the both of them.
