Donatella Versace Is the Face of Givenchy's Fall-Winter 2015 Campaign (Yeah, You Read That Right!)

Designers collaborate on fall campaign

Epic designer mash-up time!

Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci announced the face of his fall-winter 2015 collection via Instagram this morning, and it's familiar—though probably not the one you'd expect. That's because Tisci tapped designer Donatella Versace to front the campaign, giving us a very meta (and super-cool) designer-modeling-for-designer moment.

From the tags Tisci included with the reveal we can glean that the campaign was shot by the famed photographer duo Mert and Marcus, and likely involved the styling prowess of Carine Roitfeld, who also shared the Donatella (posing alongside Tisci) shot on her Instagram this morning.

Honestly, this kind of makes sense: Versace is the consummate blond bombshell, and someone daring enough for Tisci to admire. The Givenchy honcho often picks outside of the typical model box for his campaigns, which have featured transgender model Lea T, albino model Stephen Thompson and he even talked singer Erykah Badu into posing for her first high fashion ads.

The only thing that could make this news better? A subsequent Givenchy x Versace collaboration in the works. (We can dream, can't we?)
