Bruce Jenner has received a lot of praise from his family and fellow celebrities, and the support keeps flowing.
(At this time, Bruce Jenner has not chosen to publicly identify as a woman and so E! News will continue to refer to him as Bruce and use male pronouns, until he indicates otherwise.)
James Corden is the latest star to talk about Jenner's exclusive 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, in which he revealed he is transitioning from a man into a woman. During a his monologue of Monday's The Late Late Show, Corden gushed about Jenner's bravery for telling his story so publicly.
"Honestly I thought it was genuinely one of the most incredible pieces of television that I've seen in years," he said. "It was amazing...I thought, 'I will never know, I will never know. So many of us will never know what it's like to go through such a thing—the life that he's been trapped in.'"
The British talk show host continued to talk about how difficult it is for those who are harboring such a large secret, saying, "It's hard for them, it's hard for their families," but he said he only wanted more good to come from Jenner's revelations.
"I truly hope that after this weekend's interview that this world that we live in is a better, more understanding, more educated place for them to live in," Corden continued. "We thank you, Bruce, we really do, for sharing so openly and so honestly. It was a wonderful thing to watch."
Transgender model Carmen Carrera also lauded the Olympian's courage, telling E! News that she felt like she knew him personally afterwards. "I was emotional, too," Carrera shared with us. "I was really into it the whole time. I felt like even though I've never met Bruce Jenner in my life, at the end of the interview, I had such an amazing feeling inside."
The former RuPaul's Drag Race contestant continued, "Not only because I'm trans but just as a person. I felt like I knew him a little bit more."
For now, the father of six is focusing on what's next, and even though he knows he's "going to be OK," he hopes people will learn from his story and not judge too quickly. "Have an open mind and an open heart," he told Sawyer. "I'm not this bad person. I'm just doing what I have to do."
