Real Housewives of New Jersey star Amber Marchese is facing another health scare.
After spending more than five years in remission after surviving cancer, the Bravo star recently discovered something near her breast.
"Truth be told, I found another mass, in the same breast as my first diagnosis, this past Friday before Easter," Amber shared with her Twitter followers. "I lifted my arms over my head, touched the side of my breast (I am not sure what made me do that) and there it was. A small pea sized, somewhat bean shaped, lump."
While some outlets have reported Amber's cancer has returned, her husband Jim Marchese assures fans that an official diagnosis has not been made just yet.
"I can confirm she had surgery on Monday to remove the lump," Jim told E! News. "The doctors are doing pathology on it now. We should know soon. It's been a very tough week for us."
In fact, when Amber first discovered the lump, she continued to celebrate the holiday by traveling to the Bahamas with her family and her close friends. While she may have been smiling in pictures, the Bravo star admits she had much more pressing things on her mind.
"I kept a smile on my face in front of everyone and cried in private," she confessed on Twitter. "As comforting as the statistics should be to me, I still have spent the last couple of weeks in complete anxiety, fear, and stress."
While the results of her tests have yet to be revealed, Amber and her family remain positive and focused on their Catholic faith.
"It is all going to be fine, regardless what the outcome. I am physically strong and through my spiritual faith, I am mentally strong," she shared with her followers. "I have turned to God and put my trust into Him instead of shunning Him away. I embrace my faith instead of saying ‘why me', trust me, that went through my mind more than once in the past several weeks."
She added, "God willing, I can put this all behind me and simply be mom again."
