The jumpsuit may have stolen the spotlight on awards season red carpets this year, but it's the short romper that will get the most wear come these warmer months. Not only is the one-piece a festival fashion staple (as evidenced by Coachella cuties Alessandra Ambrosio and Kate Bosworth), but the piece lends several ways to style it. For inspiration, we look to the stars.

Don't think you can wear a short romper to the office? Leave it to Disney darling Sabrina Carpenter to mature up the piece. Pair a prim romper with leggings or tights for a more conservative look. This will also help combat against the office AC that's always on the fritz (you know what we're talking about). For added effect, opt for a collared shirt underneath the romper.

The romper may be one piece but both top and bottom can usually stand on its own. In this case, Blake Lively brilliantly paired an army-green romper with a knit sweater. Any crewneck will lend that preppy vibe, but just be sure to complement the slouchy look with a structured bag.

For a more polished look à la Taylor Swift, add a belt in a contrasting color or texture to the waistline. For instance, if you're wearing a printed iteration, go with a solid, texturized belt.

Again, the romper works wonders when broken up into separates. Kendall Jenner's sass + bide piece includes a skirt tail in the back, but you can create the same effect by tying a large shirt around your waist. If the romper bottom is fitted enough, you can even wear an entirely different skirt (high-low hem or otherwise) on top for a completely fresh look.

On Friday, you're going to need a look that translates from day to night. Opt for a structured topper like a biker jacket or long blazer to complement your look. Channel Jamie Chung and drape the jacket over your shoulders like a cape for the full high-fashion effect.
