It's good to be Charlize Theron.
The actress caught up with E! News on the red carpet at CinemaCon 2015 in Las Vegas yesterday, where she dished about the two men in her life: her son Jackson and boyfriend Sean Penn.
Theron addressed whether becoming a mother has changed which projects she chooses to be a part of, saying, "My interests in the world are still the same, if not more interested, to be as proactive as I possibly can to make it better for him. I mean, he deserves that. It is strange how I was that person before but now I just have this extra driving force behind me. I want to leave something great behind for him."
The proud mama added that juggling motherhood with her career is all about "just finding the balance."
"I'm lucky he's at an age where he can travel with me and be part of the adventure."
The blond beauty also gushed about her beau, telling us that "it's great when you find something that's real and it's hard to keep that sacred, to keep that private in this work, but I go home at night and I close my front door and I'm a really, really happy girl."
The Mad Max: Fury Road star shared one bit of advice to young women out there—take risks!
When asked about cutting all of her hair off for her role, she admitted that it was "freeing" and that the "moment might have included alcohol." (Relax, you guys, she was just kidding!)
"I don't know if I would have had the guts to do it on my own so the excuse that it's for a role…was great actually. I think that every woman should do it once in their life."
And it turns out that little Jackson got his first hair cut on the same day his famous mama buzzed her locks off!
"He had all this baby fuzz and we were going to the desert so I thought, let's just be low maintenance."
