The 22-year-old "Really Don't Care" singer, currently in Australia for her DEMI World Tour, Instagrammed a sweet flashback photo of herself and her 45-year-old boyfriend Friday. Ms. Lovato is clearly smitten in the sweet kissy-face selfie (taken 4.5 years ago, according to her caption) and, "yet all this time later...I still cry when I leave him for tour," she writes.
"...and I still get butterflies just thinking about him," she added gushingly. "You're magical Wilmer... I love and miss you..."
Aw! Of course, it's not like this lady's the type to mope over a man when he can't be there—she makes the most of what she's got! In this case, that meant sneaking in a little fun in the sun ahead of her Brisbane show. Demi Instagrammed a pre-concert pic of herself looking happy and fit in a bikini, followed by a full-body snap that showed her in costume just before taking the stage.
You probably definitely noticed Demi's body is looking hotter than ever these days, and she feels better than ever, too. This didn't come easy, though—the former Disney star checked into rehab in 2010 for "physical and emotional issues" and has since been quite vocal about conquering her battle with bulimia.
There have been setbacks still, too. Speaking with Fitness magazine, she credited Wilmer for keeping her body image in check and how he "called me out on it,which was a relief," when her troubles began to reappear.
Fortunately, she was able to get on a "structured meal plan" and learn all about "portion control," she said. Consciously maintaining a healthy, balanced diet certainly helped Demi along on the road to physical and emotional health, but diet alone didn't get her there: She exercised, too!
Earlier this week, in fact, the singer gave a special shoutout to her trainer Ronny Comacho on Instagram. She shared a collage of sweaty selfies with the fitness buff, but the caption was where she really exposed her gratitude.
"For the past 8 months this man has helped me beat my hardest critic: myself," she wrote. "The first day he gave me my meals, that him and his wife cook themselves, he looked me in the eyes and said 'We are going to kick this eating disorder's ass!!!' He was as determined as I was and has been a huge part of my recovery ever since. I've never been happier and healthier and I credit so much of that to this man and his beautiful wife."
"Thank you Ronny & Elise Comacho for staying up so late to cook my meals and getting up so early to help transform my body but most importantly my mind," she continued. "You both have truly changed my life. Now everyone.. go checkout his website!!! www.uevolve.fitness!!"
She concluded the post with some choice Bible verses and the hashtag #AustraliaHereICome!
