Following Hillary Clinton's announcement that she will be running for president in the 2016 election, Olivia Wilde was quick to tweet her excitement.
The 31-year-old actress, who has previously expressed her support for President Barack Obama, caught up with E! News in NYC for the launch of her exclusive Conscious Collection for H&M as part of her Conscious Commerce brand, where the mother of one said she's "thrilled" for Hillary Clinton's presidential run.
"I'm so excited as a Brooklynite that Hillary's campaign office is going to be in Brooklyn Heights," Wilde said at the high street company's Times Square location. "I'm so excited."
Asked if she will be participating in the Hillary's campaign, Jason Sudeikis' girlfriend noted the importance of making your own political footprint.
"I think it's important to participate," she said. "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you can't complain if you don't show up and participate. So I'm excited about people volunteering, about people standing up for what they believe in."
Wilde, who welcomed her first child with Sudeikis in April 2014, continued, praising Hillary's passion for equal rights for women.

"I'm very excited to have not only a female candidate, but Hillary herself who has spoken so eloquently and passionately about the rights of women and girls around the world," she explained, adding, "So I'm thrilled that will be a part of the conversation and, you know, I never know when to shut up so I will be very active throughout the campaign."
As for why Wilde believes politics are so crucial to our society?
