Robert Downey Jr. Talks Diaper Duty and Iron Man's Post-Avengers Schedule: Is Spider-Man in His Future?

"There's changing diapers and then there's an emergency evacuation diaper change," the star riffs during the Avengers: Age of Ultron junket

To think, Robert Downey Jr. had to try to get into the very first Iron Man movie.

And now Tony Stark and his heavy-metal suit are pretty much booked for the rest of the decade!

Asked at the Avengers: Age of Ultron junket if he was going to be in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, the third film in the Chris Evans-led franchise, Downey told E! News, "I've been invited to join that film, yes."

And while he did not confirm as much with regard to the addition to the Spider-Man canon that's now in the works between Sony and Marvel, he did not deny the rumor that he's been asked to lend his talents to the movie as well.

But real life hasn't been to shabby for Downey, either—especially now that son Exton is 3 and out of diapers, leaving 5-month-old daughter Avery the only member of the household to still be in diapers.

So now that almost every member of the Avengers is a parent (and Chris Hemsworth is working on getting Evans settled down with the right gal), is Downey--as the most veteran dad of the bunch--doling out parenting tips? And are any of the mini-Avengers going to be assembling in one place any time soon?

Meanwhile, the grownup Avengers reconvened tonight at Jimmy Kimmel Live, an occasion that RDJ used his first-ever Instagram post to document for posterity, ahead of the film's world premiere in Hollywood. In case you were wondering what the deal was with all that hot magic in the air.
