News that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' baby daughter James has three godmothers has been greatly exaggerated.
The actress' Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star Amber Tamblyn recently said in an on-camera interview that she and fellow cast members Alexis Bledel and America Ferrara are the newborn's godmothers.
Well, turns out they're not.
"I never named them my godmothers," Lively just told me while promoting her new romance drama, The Age of Adaline (in theaters in April 24). "They're my dear friends. I would say my baby has a lot of fairy godmothers."
However, if God forbid, something tragic happened to Lively, she says, "My sister [Robyn Lively] would be the one to take care of my baby."
Tamblyn was a guest on Nick Lachey's VH1 show Morning Buzz Live earlier this week. "You're still very close with your...co-stars and the three of you are godmothers to Blake Lively's baby—is that a fact?" Lachey asked the actress.
"Yes, that is a fact," Tamblyn replied, prompting much cheering and "whoos!" from the audience.
