Mean Girls No More! Let's Talk About These Catty, Jerky Guys and How This Stereotype Is Shifting Sexes

From Louis C.K. to Rand Paul to Andy Richter, the fellas are the ones behaving badly lately

If you're a woman and you cast so much as an errant glare in the wrong direction, watch out—you're a bitch. Actually, you don't even have to look at anyone to earn that title—ever heard of "resting bitch face"?

Point is, everyone's quick to point out a mean girl, and while those certainly do exist (Real Housewives don't count—they're a genre all their own), it seems that lately there's been a lot of love between the ladies! But when it comes to petty, jealous behavior coming from a place of insecurity, that's all you, fellas!

Case in point? While Taylor Swift was "LOLing" at rumors she and soul sister Lorde were feuding, Louis C.K. was proudly 'fessing up to the fact that he threw fellow comedian Jimmy Fallon under the bus many years ago. Indeed, on Tuesday's Tonight Show, Louis recalled sabotaging one of the late-night host's early auditions out of "pure jealousy."

The Louie star, 47, recalled Jimmy, now 40, having "a tight little ass" and "all his hair" while he was "already sweating and balding," so he "really, really went to bat against you."

"And I knew it," Louis began, "I was like, 'This is really f--ked up to be doing because this kid is really talented, but I don't want to look at him every day because it will make me upset about myself.'"

Catty much?! When Mr. C.K. tells that story, it's hilarious, but if a woman tried that, there'd be protests and online petitions before you could say, "Bitch, please!"

Today

Another prime example of why it's time to shift that stereotype? Rand Paul's I-can't-take-the-heat-but-I-wanna-be-president interview with Today's Savannah Guthrie. The Kentucky senator lost his cool when the veteran journalist tried to, you know, bring up his political past. He came off curt and condescending (watch the clip for yourself), brashly interrupting Savannnah and rudely instructing her on how it is that he thinks she should do her job.

Can't wait to see ol' Randy in the debates!

Once again, though, he's not the only dude speaking out of turn. To a much lesser offense, Conan sidekick Andy Richter put his mean boy behavior on display Monday when he unnecessarily tweeted a photo of Ashley Tisdale's less-than-optimal parking job. Hey Andy, calling out somebody's bad parking job won't make you any better at parking.

See, it looks like the Mean Girls are back in 2004 but the mean guys are as present as ever. Is Reggie George any better than Regina George? I think not. Just be nice...everybody!
