The term conscious uncoupling just keeps getting cozier and cozier!
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin may have announced their separation almost one year ago, but the two were most recently spotted spending spring break with their kids on the beach in Mexico.
The Oscar-winning actress looked relaxed and happy as can be as she flaunted her killer bikini body in an array of swimsuits next to her ex—who was working on his suntan in a nearby lounge chair.
Both Paltrow and Martin were seen reading in the shade as their children, Moses and Apple, played in the ocean nearby. At one point in their daytime outing, Martin took a dip in the waterand went snorkling and tubing with his kids.
Seeing the former duo spend ample time together is nothing new, of course, especially considering that they were seen hanging out together on Valentine's Day in Malibu.
However, a source told E! News that the outing "was nothing romantic from what it seemed," and that the famous twosome were merely on hand to watch their kids take surf lessons.
And it's no secret that there's nothing but love between Paltrow and Martin, in fact, both have gushed about their former significant others since announcing their separation.
The blond beauty recently opened up about her marriage on Howard Stern's radio show on SiriusXM, saying that she and the Coldplay frontman "actually have a really strong friendship."
"We have kids, we're always going to be a family," she added, saying that their decision to "consciously uncouple" was rooted in trying to "find the positives" about their relationship and use it to fuel a drama-free future for the sake of their children.
"We laugh and we have fun but there are times when it's really difficult," Paltrow c. "Things happen and you're like, I'm sure he doesn't want to hang out with me and I don't want to hang out with him but for the sake of the kids, you do it…You say, 'I really want to find the love for you and I want to forgive you and I want you to forgive me and let's have some fun as a family.'"
Martin echoed her sentiments during an interview with Valentine in the Morning, saying, "We are very close. We are not together…There's lots of love. No scandal, I'm afraid."
So between the family trips and public praise, it seems like Paltrow and Martin may be the friendliest exes Hollywood (or anyone) ever!
