To be initiated into Taylor Swift's highly A-list BFF group seems like it would be the biggest honor, but what you wouldn't expect is just how you could become a member of the elite women's group—with a little ice cream!

Grammy-winning Lorde appeared on The Tonight Show Tuesday and opened up to Jimmy Fallon about how she and the "Blank Space" singer came to be best friends. It turns out they bonded over some amazing fast food.

YUM!

Seriously, if that's all it takes, where do we sign up?!

"We met up here in New York," the "Yellow Flicker Beat" singer told the host. "We had Shake Shack, which I feel like is kind of a good bonding...a friendship like bonds with those thick-ass milkshakes."

Those "thick-ass milkshakes" must have been  delicious because ever since then, the two singers have been seen together at parties, award shows and even around New York City just hanging out.

The 18-year-old singer, who hails from New Zealand, continued to gush over how sweet T. Swift is when she recalled how she first came to know the "Out of the Woods" crooner.

"She sent me some flowers, which was so nice," Lorde said of her 24-year-old BFF. "She just sent them to my house and said like, 'Congratulations on everything.'"

Completely surprised by Swift's kind gesture, Lorde told Fallon that she instantly became intrigued by the woman who would soon become her next gal-pal.

"I was like, 'God!'" she exclaimed. "'I need to know more!'"

It seems that Swift has always kept Lorde on her toes because the Mockingjay soundtrack singer also rehashed a story to Fallon in which Swift's dry sense of humor led to an amazing prank at a Grammy party. It turns out that right before Lorde was slated to perform, a random guy asked Swift if the New Zealand wunderkind was her manager, and Swift went with it!

"And all of a sudden I was Taylor Swift's manager," she said, barely able to contain her laughter. "This like tiny, kind of gothy, hunched person."

The witty banter between these two must be great, as they are always kidding around with one another! When Lorde's birthday rolled around last month, Swift commemorated the special day with a photo on Instagram and joked that she was turning an age far older than her actual one.

"It's Ella's 18th birthday technically," Swift wrote, referring to Lorde by her real first name, "but we all know she's really 300 and knows all the secrets of the universe. #ELLAflickerbeat"

If that's true, please tell us what you know, Lorde.
