The 77-year-old actor—who has found himself at the center of rampant rape allegations, some of which are decades old and recently resurfaced—took the stage for the first time last night following the headline-making controversy, performing in front of a packed house at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
According to an eyewitness, Cosby came on stage promptly at 8 p.m. to a cheering audience, wearing gray sweat pants, flip-flops and a shirt that read "Hello Friend." On the theater screen behind him, there was a picture of him and Nelson Mandela, and the source says his jokes ranged on topics of race, religion and his upbringing in Philadelphia.
The actor appeared in good spirits and performed in front of a packed house that continued to rupture with applause at every joke he told, only stumbling once when he attempted a "sex joke."
During the show, as seen in a video obtained by TMZ, Cosby touched on the sexual assault talk, joking about his relationship with kids while saying, "Bill Cosby, you're an evil man."
He also dedicated the show to his wife, Camille, telling the audience how they have been "married for 50 years" (at which point the crowd applauded) before saying that love isn't as "energetic" while noting that there are still "certain things, as a male, you get excited about."
The event, which had a strict no cell phone policy, was a private fundraiser that was booked by a local Bahamas charity, the Nassau Chapter of The Links, an international non-profit women's organization. Cosby received a standing ovation at the end of his performance.
Earlier in the day, actress Louisa Moritz became the latest woman to accuse Cosby of sexual assault, claiming the actor forced her mouth on his penis while she was waiting in the green room to make an appearance on The Tonight Show in 1971.
Cosby's attorney Marty Singer quickly shut down the report, slamming the claims made by multiple women as "ridiculous."
"We've reached a point of absurdity," Singer said in a statement obtained by NBC News. "The stories are getting more ridiculous."
Meanwhile, despite Cosby's successful show in the Bahamas, his scheduled appearance at Treasure Island is Las Vegas on Nov. 28 has been canceled.
In a statement obtained by E! News, the show is said to have been canceled "by mutual agreement" and "all tickets will be refunded through the outlet they were purchased at."
