Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagicHe might have had a tough time wooing women in Hitch, but Kevin James has done well for himself in real life because he is expecting his fourth child with wife Steffiana de la Cruz, his rep confirmed to E! News.
The King of Queens star already is father to son Kannon Valentine, 3, and daughters Shea Joelle, 7, and Sienna-Marie, 9. James and de la Cruz met on a blind date. The actor married his longtime actress love in 2004 in California.
Upon the arrival of his third child, James told NBC's Today that fatherhood has gotten a little easier since he has had some practice with his two daughters.
"You kinda loosen up with the second child a little bit, which is nice," he said. "The first child, I remember they just give it to you at the hospital, you're supposed to put her in the car seat and drive home...I was 10-2 on the wheel in the right lane 30 miles an hour on the highway with the flashers going."
"Second kid, I had the top down," he joked. "I was steering with my knees."
While his wife was pregnant with their third child, James appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman revealing a slimmer frame and admitted that he had actively tried to become more svelte.
"It got to a point where I hit my all-time high. I got on the scale and it read 290 pounds. Not good, not good at all," he told the host. "I realized I'm only 10 pounds away from 300. [Then] I got to 302."
James, 49, is best known for his nine-year run on the King of Queens, for which he received an Emmy nomination, but has also starred in movies such as Grown Ups, The Dilemma and Zookeeper. He will next appear in Pixels, which is slated to hit theaters on May 15.
