Sometimes, even Jimmy Kimmel can't keep a straight face.

The 46-year-old comedian is set to appear simultaneously in Los Angeles and Nashville via hologram to celebrate the CMA Awards tonight, pulling double duty (well, sort of) as he hosts Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood while also being virtually transported to Tennessee.

But before he takes the stage cross-country by way of cutting-edge technology, the TV personality spent some quality time with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, filming a hilarious "sleepover" with the country music couple (the bit will appear on tonight's show, but we're giving you a sneak peek of the silly outtake!).

"You know, can I tell you something? I can see from these photographs that you guys are really in love," Kimmel tells the pair while perusing their family album.

"Yeah, we've been married 10 years," McGraw replied.

And that's when things got weird

"I love this one of you with your shirt off," the funnyman says, pointing at a shirtless shot of McGraw. "I'd love to see your abdominal muscles, you know, in person at some point during the thing."

Despite the trio's best attempt to keep their faces straight, Faith, Jimmy and Tim all erupt into a burst of laughter as the father of three pleads, "I tried!"

No word yet how they managed to pull off the stunt, but it's safe to say we're eager to see the final result during country music's biggest night.

Meanwhile, Kimmel's Live! monologue will be beamed to Nashville's Bridgestone Arena before he interviews Modern Family's Julie Bowen in studio in Hollywood. For his second guest of the evening, Molly McNearney's better half will chat with an unannounced CMA Award winner, who will be interviewed as a hologram by Kimmel at the Live! studio in Los Angeles.

Additionally, the reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year, Florida Georgia Line, will take the stage at tonight's show. Their performance will also be hologrammed to Hollywood so Kimmel's audience can feel like they, too, are being transported to Tennessee!
