An old audio clip of Lorde singing "Use Somebody" back when she was just 12 years old has resurfaced online this week.

The clip features a young Lorde (real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor) belting out the hit Kings of Leon song during an appearance at a local radio station in Auckland, New Zealand.

"I've been roaming around/ Always looking down at all I see/ Painted faces, fill the places I can't reach," the now 17-year-old "Royals" crooner belts out in the clip. "You know that I could use somebody/ You know that I could use somebody/ Someone like you and all you know and how you speak/ Countless lovers under cover of the street."

After singing the song, the radio deejay gushes, "Well, it's a privilege to hear a voice like that."

This isn't the first time Lorde has surprised fans with an impressive flashback clip. Back in February of this year, she made headlines when a video surfaced featuring the singer and her Belmont Intermediate School band Extreme competing in the covers category of the Intermediate Schools Battle of the Bands Finals in 2009.

The group, who ultimately came in third in the competition, covered multiple classic rocks songs during the performance.

One thing's for sure: Lorde has been insanely talented from a ridiculously young age!
