It is entirely possible that Miley Cyrus wore this exact same outfit as a kindergartener. The "We Can't Stop" singer was born in 1991, which puts her in real people clothes around 1996—which is precisely when every element of this outfit was first in fashion...which should have been its last time too.
Much as we love '90s redux, this combo is a little too Fresh Prince of Bel Air for our taste. Despite being one of the finest television programs in television history, it didn't feature the finest attire.
We could deal with that jail cell-chic cropped top even if the mock neck is a little hot for summer in LA—and we've never met a metallic sneaker that we didn't love. But when you add in black overalls (that may or may not be leather—we can't tell), a backwards cap (the international symbol for "I'm cool"), and the vintage Chanel crossover (which is amazing but not with this look), it's all a bit too much.
Then again, this is Miley Cyrus wearing clothes that almost entirely cover her body—which is always something to celebrate.
